Human Rights Activists Alliance: Forced displacement in Ghor is an example of ethnic cleansing

According to local reports, the Taliban have forcibly driven native residents from their homes and lands and have even prevented them from setting up tents in safe and visible areas.

Local sources say that Taliban forces have dismantled the tents of displaced people and warned them not to settle near highways.

The statement emphasized: "The forced displacement in Ghor is not merely the forced relocation of people, but part of a dangerous project of ethnic cleansing."

The Union of Activists has warned that the Taliban are not only targeting homes but also the identity, history, and memories of the indigenous people. According to this organization, the Taliban's actions are part of an organized ethnic engineering plan pursued through the use of force.

This organization has called on the United Nations, international institutions, and UN special rapporteurs to investigate these forced displacements as a serious violation of human rights and an instance of silent genocide, and to hold the perpetrators accountable under the law.

The statement concluded: "The Taliban are not merely the enemy of a specific ethnic group or province, but the enemy of all human, civil, and peaceful coexistence values in Afghanistan."

The Union of Human Rights Activists, through a statement, has strongly condemned the forced displacement of dozens of families in Darreh Kashro, Dawlatyar District of Ghor Province by the Taliban, describing it as a clear example of "ethnic cleansing" and a "crime against humanity."
