Sources: Taliban bans use of smartphones at night in Spin Boldak

These sources stated on Thursday (3rd of Mizan) in a conversation that the Taliban have warned that if anyone goes out of their home after sunset with a smartphone, their phone will be confiscated.


Reports indicate that the Taliban have confiscated the phones of several Spin Boldak residents over the past week, but have not yet returned them.


According to the sources, Taliban members, in addition to confiscating phones, also demand the password and, after taking possession of the device, inspect all photos, conversations, and personal documents.


Taliban local authorities have not yet officially commented on this matter.

Local sources in Kandahar say that the Taliban have banned the use of smartphones at night for residents of Spin Boldak.
