Pakistan Army Chief: Any attack on country's soil will be met with a strong response

He identified militants supported by India in Afghanistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as targets for the army's containment efforts, labeling the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan and Baloch separatists as "India's mischief" and "the mischief of the Kharijites."

These statements came after border clashes between the Taliban and Pakistani forces; the Pakistan Army announced it had killed over 200 Taliban fighters, while the Taliban claimed 58 Pakistani soldiers were killed.

Munir stated: "Pakistan seeks peace; however, any aggression against the country will be met with a strong response." He had previously urged the Taliban to restrict the activities of rebel groups in Afghanistan.

The violence primarily occurs in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with Pakistan alleging that these groups are supported by the Afghan Taliban.

Asim Munir, the commander of the Pakistan Army, emphasized on Tuesday that any "direct or indirect" violation of the country's territorial integrity would be met with a resolute response from the army.
