Nila Ebrahimi named among UN Young Leaders of the Year 2025

The United Nations Youth Office announced on Saturday (4th of Aqrab) that these 17 individuals were chosen from among 33,000 applications from 150 countries worldwide.


According to the United Nations, the Young Leaders for 2025 will work on key sustainable development issues, including gender equality, human rights, climate change, and global peace and security.


Nila Ibrahimi, a teenage girl from Afghanistan living in Canada, is a prominent figure in the field of girls' education rights and leads the organization "Her Story."


Last year, she also received the International Children's Prize from the International Children's Rights Institute.
