US Counterterrorism Office warns of Al Qaeda threats

The agency emphasized that it will protect American citizens from the threats posed by this group.

Joe Kent, the head of the U.S. Counterterrorism Agency, in a statement on Friday (28 Sunbula) urged the public to remain vigilant against Al-Qaeda threats.

He stated that the U.S. Counterterrorism Agency collaborates with various institutions and agencies to counter all potential threats against the American people by gathering and sharing information and preparing lists.

According to him, Donald Trump's policies have ensured that the United States is more prepared than ever to respond to and address any threat directly, swiftly, and with strategic coordination.

This comes as reports from international institutions and the United Nations indicate that with the Taliban's rise to power in Afghanistan, Al-Qaeda's activities have increased.

The United States Counterterrorism Agency has issued a statement warning that the global Al-Qaeda network continues to pose a threat.
