Pakistan, Malaysia call for inclusive political system in Afghanistan

According to a statement issued by the Malaysian Foreign Ministry, both sides, in their discussions, agreed on cooperation in areas such as regional security, combating terrorism, and preventing the use of Afghan soil against other countries.


The leaders of the two countries also called for strengthening constructive engagement with Taliban authorities in Afghanistan to facilitate the peace process, respect for the fundamental rights of citizens, and the establishment of a stable and inclusive future in the country.


The Pakistani Prime Minister’s visit to Malaysia took place from October 5 to 7, and this meeting was described as part of Islamabad’s efforts to expand bilateral relations and coordinate politically on regional issues.

Shahbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, during his official visit to Malaysia, along with Anwar Ibrahim, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, emphasized the need for establishing an inclusive government in Afghanistan and ensuring sustainable stability in the country.
