Taliban announce return of more than 150 tankers of low-quality Iranian fuel

According to a statement from the media office of the Taliban governor in Nimroz, released on Wednesday, 8 Asad, assessments conducted show that the remaining 97 tankers also contain low-quality fuel and are scheduled to be returned in the coming days.

The administration emphasized that the process of evaluating the quality of imported fuel continues with "full seriousness," and the entry of any substandard petroleum products through the Nimroz border will be prevented.

The governor's office has also requested that traders refrain from importing non-standard fuel from Iran.

This is not the first time the Taliban has blocked the entry of low-quality petroleum products from Iran. Previously, the Taliban has repeatedly reported returning Iran's fuel shipments.

The local Taliban administration in Nimroz province has announced that out of 250 tankers carrying imported petroleum products from Iran, 153 tankers have been returned to Iran over the past two days due to being "substandard."
