Devastating war in Gaza; 23 countries call for immediate end to Israel's war on Gaza

The signatories of this statement said that over 21 months of conflict have created catastrophic humanitarian conditions for more than two million Palestinian civilians in Gaza.

A part of the statement reads: "This war must end now. The suffering of civilians in Gaza has reached unprecedented levels."

These countries have called for an immediate ceasefire, the release of hostages by Hamas, and unconditional access to humanitarian aid in Gaza.

The statement also strongly criticized Israel's model of delivering humanitarian aid, stating: "This model is dangerous, creates instability, and violates the human dignity of the people of Gaza."

The countries further emphasized: "Depriving the civilian population of vital aid is unacceptable. Israel must adhere to its obligations under international humanitarian law."

This comes as the United Nations and the Gaza Ministry of Health have reported that since late May, when Israel ended a two-month complete siege, at least 875 people have died at food distribution sites.

A number of countries, including the United Kingdom, France, Australia, Canada, and the European Union, in a joint statement on Monday, called for an immediate end to Israel's war in the Gaza Strip.
