Guterres: Ending the Gaza crisis depends on a political solution and the triumph of human dignity

He said: "The only meaningful path to restore hope to the people of Gaza lies through diplomatic efforts to achieve a two-state solution."


The UN Secretary-General, referring to the severe humanitarian consequences of the war, added that diplomacy and human dignity must ultimately prevail over any violence and conflict.


Guterres also called on the international community to increase its support for the peace process and urged all parties to adhere to the principles of international law and the protection of civilians.

António Guterres, the United Nations Secretary-General, on Friday (6 Saratan) at the General Assembly meeting of the organization, described the ongoing crisis in Gaza as a profound humanitarian disaster and emphasized that the only sustainable solution to end this crisis is a political one.
