UN: 13 million children in Afghanistan at risk of disease

According to this report, in just the past 8 months, 55,000 suspected cases of measles among children in Afghanistan have been recorded.

Previously, the World Health Organization had announced in a report that out of these 55,000 suspected cases, 300 children under five years old have lost their lives due to this disease.

The report also states that the reduction in health aid, the closure of treatment centers in remote areas, and the lack of sufficient access for families to health services have made the situation more critical.

The United Nations has emphasized that it is working to combat this crisis and has called on other relief organizations to collaborate in preventing its spread.

The United Nations has announced in a report that 13 million children in Afghanistan are at risk of chronic diseases, including measles and diarrhea.
