Iran executes 85 prisoners in one month; Six of those executed were Afghan citizens

According to the report, among those executed were six Afghan citizens; however, no details about their identities have been released.


On Sunday, (5 Asad), the Hengaw organization stated in a report that among these individuals, 15 Lur prisoners, 12 Kurdish prisoners, 12 Turkish prisoners, and six Baloch prisoners were also executed.


Additionally, six of the executed individuals had been convicted of espionage for Israel.


According to statistics, since the Taliban came to power in Afghanistan, the execution of Afghan citizens in Iran has significantly increased; however, the Taliban has so far taken no practical or effective action in this regard.

The Hengaw Human Rights Organization announced that in the past month, following the establishment of a ceasefire between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Israel, at least 85 prisoners have been executed in Iran on various charges.
