Kankor 2004 without girls; Syed Musa from Kabul wins first place

According to the authority, Sayed Musa, a resident of Kabul province, secured the first position in this year’s Kankor by scoring 356 points and was admitted to the medical faculty of Kabul University.

Similarly, Mohammad Nazir, another participant from Kabul, with a score of 356.57414, took the second position and was also admitted to the medical faculty of the same university.

This comes as the prohibition of girls’ participation in the Kankor exam over the past four years has repeatedly been criticized by international organizations, women’s rights activists, and education experts.

The National Examination Authority under Taliban rule announced the results of the 1404 Kankor exam on Sunday, 29 Saratan; however, girls were barred from participating in this exam for the fourth consecutive year.
