Ariana Saeed wins UN's High Note Global Human Rights Prize


In a press release issued by the United Nations, it was stated that the song “We Believe in Hope,” performed by Ariana Saeed, was deemed worthy of this award in celebration of July 12 — World Hope Day.


Ariana Saeed, in response to this honor, said in a video message: “As an Afghan woman, I am proud to have won this prestigious award.”


This musical piece was produced in collaboration with Jeff Beal, a celebrated composer and five-time Emmy Award winner, and June Beal, the lyricist, and was performed by Ariana Saeed alongside the Brooklyn Youth Chorus.


The inspiration for this work comes from the courageous story of the Afghan girls’ robotics team, recognized as the first women’s robotics team in Afghanistan. The song was also used as the soundtrack for the film “Breaking the Law” from Angle Studio.
