Netanyahu once again opposes the creation of a Palestinian state

Netanyahu made these remarks after, on November 14, the United States, as Israel's most important ally, and many Muslim countries endorsed a draft resolution of the UN Security Council that supports Donald Trump's peace plan for Gaza, and stated that this process could provide a path to Palestinian independence.

Meanwhile, the 15 members of the UN Security Council began negotiations on this draft on November 7. According to Trump's proposal, this draft mandates the creation of a "peace committee" in Gaza to address issues including the reconstruction of Gaza after the war and economic improvement.

Trump's 20-point plan includes a clause stating that if reforms are carried out in the Palestinian Authority, "conditions may be created for establishing a credible path toward self-determination and the formation of a Palestinian state, which, as Trump says, is the aspiration of the Palestinian people."

Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, on Sunday, November 16, in response to a statement that was issued with United States support for the path to establishing a Palestinian state and faced negative reactions from Israel's right-wing allies, said that Israel still opposes the establishment of a Palestinian state.
