Plane crashes in Bangladesh; At least 19 killed, 100 injured

This incident occurred on Monday, 30 Saratan, in the city of Dhaka within the compound of a school and Milestone University.


Based on media reports, more than 100 people were also injured in this accident, including children and adults. The injured have been transferred to various hospitals, and the condition of some is reported to be critical.


The Bangladesh Army confirmed in a statement that the fighter jet belonged to the country’s Air Force and was conducting a training flight.


The main cause of the accident has not yet been officially determined.


Mohammad Yunus, the interim government leader of Bangladesh, described the incident as “a moment of deep sorrow for Bangladesh” in a message posted on the social network “X” and stated that “all necessary measures will be taken to thoroughly investigate the incident.”


He also emphasized that all relief institutions and hospitals must handle the situation with utmost care and readiness, assuring the provision of “all possible assistance” to the victims.

Following the crash of a Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft in a school compound, at least 19 people were killed and dozens others were injured.
