British list leaked; Daily Telegraph: Taliban have killed at least 200 former Afghan soldiers

The newspaper, in its report on Wednesday (25 Saratan), wrote that it is unclear whether these individuals were included in the leaked list or not.


However, The Daily Telegraph emphasized that the British government has stated it did not allow the Taliban access to the details of former collaborators of British forces.


The report states that the Taliban have identified and killed former Afghan security forces who collaborated with British forces in various provinces.


The Daily Telegraph also published the names and images of six soldiers and police officers who were killed by the Taliban.


Among these individuals are Colonel Tor Jan, Muzammil Najrabi, and Hayatullah Nezami.


According to The Daily Telegraph’s report, two unnamed Taliban officials told the newspaper that the Taliban obtained a list of 19,000 former British collaborators in Afghanistan through the internet and assigned a group to identify and arrest them.


The Daily Telegraph wrote that the Yarmouk 60 unit, one of the Taliban’s special forces units, is responsible for tracking and arresting these individuals based on the leaked list.


It is worth noting that after returning to power in Afghanistan, the Taliban announced a general amnesty; however, a Taliban official told The Daily Telegraph that former collaborators of British forces are considered “spies” and are not covered by this amnesty.


It should be mentioned that over the past four years, numerous reports from international organizations and the United Nations have been published, revealing the killing, detention, and torture of former Afghan military personnel.

The British newspaper The Daily Telegraph, based on an investigation, has reported that since the leak of information related to former collaborators of British forces in Afghanistan in 2022, more than 200 former Afghan soldiers and military personnel have been identified and killed by the Taliban.
