Six members of a former military man's family were killed in Nangarhar

According to sources, the incident occurred on Monday, 27 Asad, in the village of Sultanpur, Surkhrod district, Nangarhar.


Based on the information provided by sources, the victims were members of the family of Esfandiar Talwar, a former soldier in the special anti-terrorism unit.


According to reports, four children, the wife, and the father of this former soldier were killed in the incident.


Sources added that Esfandiar Talwar is currently abroad but has returned to the country following the incident.


Talwar’s relatives say that he and his family had no enmity with anyone.


The Taliban police command has also confirmed the incident, stating that the victims were killed by unidentified armed individuals using knives and firearms.


The Taliban added that an investigation into the incident has begun, and the victims’ bodies have been transferred to the forensic department.

Local sources in Nangarhar report that six members of a former government soldier’s family were killed by unidentified individuals in this province.
