Taliban official: We have provided all conditions for international recognition

Mr. Khairkhwa, on Saturday, 21 Saratan, emphasized in an interview with Bakhtar News Agency that the recognition of the Taliban would have a positive impact on Afghanistan’s economy and attract investment.

Referring to Russia’s recent decision to recognize the Taliban, he urged other countries to follow Moscow’s lead and recognize the group.

Khairkhwa claimed that security has been established in Afghanistan, the production and trafficking of narcotics have been halted, and corruption has been eradicated.

He added that the international community must accept these realities, as these achievements are significant not only for Afghanistan but for the entire world.

He also claimed that, for the first time in recent decades, the Taliban have succeeded in establishing central governance across Afghanistan.

However, human rights advocates and international organizations, citing widespread violations of women’s rights, suppression of fundamental freedoms, and the absence of an inclusive government, stress that the Taliban regime should not be recognized.

Khairullah Khairkhwa, the Taliban’s Minister of Information and Culture, says the group has fulfilled all the necessary conditions for international recognition.
