EU sends emergency and financial aid to earthquake victims in Afghanistan

This union has stated that it is sending 130 tons of emergency aid to the victims of the deadly earthquake in Afghanistan.

Additionally, one million euros (equivalent to 1.16 million dollars) has been allocated to support those affected by this event.

Following the cutoff of U.S. aid during the inauguration of the Donald Trump administration in January, when the country was previously the largest provider of aid to Afghanistan, the European Union has now become one of the main donors of aid to Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, experts warn that a reduction in international aid could hinder effective responses to natural crises, including earthquakes.

Afghanistan remains one of the countries facing the worst humanitarian crises in the world.

The European Union has announced the dispatch of emergency and financial aid to the earthquake victims in Afghanistan.
