Syrian President: We are not afraid of war, but the interests of the people come first

On Thursday (26 Saratan), in a televised statement addressing Druze citizens, he declared: “Protecting your rights is our priority, and we reject any attempt to drag you into the fold of a foreign party.”


The Syrian President, referring to the two options of confronting Israel or reforming the internal front, accused Israel of attempting to sow discord in Syria and added that Israel’s actions have exacerbated the crisis in the country.


Meanwhile, the U.S. State Department, in response to escalating tensions, has called on the Syrian government to withdraw its military forces to reduce tensions.


It is noteworthy that several regional countries, including Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Qatar, have condemned Israel’s attacks on Syrian soil.

Ahmad al-Sharaa, the President of Syria, in response to Israel’s attacks, stated that he does not fear war but prioritizes the interests of the people over destruction.
