Sources: Aid delivery to Kunar earthquake victims slowed by crowding

According to these sources, the large crowds of people at aid distribution centers have caused many relief organizations to distribute aid packages only in nearby and accessible areas, while the main and severely affected villages remain without assistance.


The affected people say that the lack of clean drinking water, shortages of food, medicine, and shelter have exposed their lives to new dangers. They demand that aid be managed urgently and fairly and reach the areas that have been waiting for basic assistance for days.


Sources have warned that if the delivery of urgent aid to remote areas is delayed and transportation routes are not opened, there is a risk of a new humanitarian disaster due to hunger and lack of shelter.

Local sources in Kunar province say that the process of providing aid to those affected by the recent earthquake has faced serious difficulties.
