11 killed after Israeli tank hits Gaza

According to this report, the family was attempting to return to their home in the "Zaytoun" neighborhood of Gaza City to check on it. This incident occurred on the evening of Friday, October 17.

Among the victims were women and children. This is considered the deadliest incident since the start of the ten-day ceasefire between Israel and Hamas to date.

The Israeli army, confirming the incident, stated that soldiers had fired at a "suspicious vehicle" that had crossed the so-called "yellow line."

Under the first phase of the ceasefire agreement, Israeli forces are still present in more than half of the Gaza Strip.

Hamas described this incident as a violation of the ceasefire and said the family had been targeted without any justification.

Meanwhile, due to limited internet access, many Palestinians are unaware of the exact positions of Israeli forces; as the restricted areas known as the "yellow line" have not been physically demarcated by Israeli forces.

The Gaza Civil Defense Authority, under Hamas control, announced that 11 people, all members of one family, were killed after the vehicle carrying them was targeted by Israeli tank fire in northern Gaza.
