Taliban whip a woman and seven men in Kabul

According to the judicial authorities of this group, the relevant court sentenced them to an average of 10 to 39 lashes and seven months to two years of imprisonment.

It is stated that six of these individuals were punished for trafficking and selling “Tablet-K, Tablet-Zikb, and hashish,” while one woman and one man were sentenced to 35 lashes each and two years in prison for “running away from home.”

In recent days, the Taliban have carried out similar flogging punishments in the provinces of Khost, Kapisa, and Maidan Wardak. According to the group’s authorities, the accused were punished for reasons such as extramarital relationships and running away from home.

Over the past four years, the Taliban have publicly flogged hundreds of people, while international organizations consider this act a form of torture and a violation of human rights.

The Taliban’s Supreme Court has announced that one woman and seven men have been publicly flogged on charges of drug trafficking, selling narcotics, and “running away from home.”
