At least five people killed in recent floods in Afghanistan


Mr. Hammad stated that according to preliminary reports, one house was completely destroyed in these floods, and 162 other houses were damaged.


This Taliban official also said that in addition to homes, 11 mosques, 171 wells, qanats and water sources, 27 water supply networks, dams and canals, 27 small bridges, and 41 kilometers of paved roads have been destroyed.


According to the spokesperson of the Disaster Management Authority, approximately 100 livestock have perished, and nearly 2,000 acres of land and orchards have been devastated.


It is worth noting that in recent days, parts of Kabul, Parwan, Logar, Maidan Wardak, Khost, Paktia, Paktika, Nangarhar, Zabul, and Laghman have witnessed devastating floods.

Mohammad Yousuf Hammad, spokesperson for the National Disaster Management Authority under Taliban control, says that following recent floods in 10 provinces, at least five people have been killed and eight others injured.
