The Taliban embassy in Tehran confirmed the killing of Amir Taha Rezaei by two Iranians.

In the embassy’s statement, published on Sunday (29 Saratan), it was stated that the issue of this Afghan citizen’s murder has been officially raised with the relevant authorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran to ensure that the perpetrators of this unforgivable crime are brought to justice in accordance with the law.


According to the statement, Fazl Mohammad Haqqani, the acting head of the Taliban embassy in Tehran, met with Amir Taha Rezaei’s family on Saturday (28 Saratan) and expressed condolences and sympathy to them.


Morteza Maleki, the police commander of Damavand County, stated that after receiving a missing person report for the young man, police forces discovered his buried body in a garden.


He added that the main perpetrator of the murder and their accomplice have been identified and arrested.


Amir Taha Rezaei’s body was discovered on Wednesday (11 Saratan) in a garden in Absard, Damavand, and his funeral ceremony was held on 25 Saratan at the Behesht-e Kowsar cemetery in Vadana, Damavand.

The Taliban embassy in Tehran has confirmed in a statement that Amir Taha Rezaei, an 18-year-old Afghan citizen, was brutally murdered by two Iranian citizens.
