Ahmad Massoud: There is no way to change except through resistance

Referring to the Taliban's restrictive and oppressive policies, he emphasized that there is no path other than resistance to bring about change.

Massoud, speaking at an online event on Friday (24 Asad), said: "What is happening in Afghanistan today is an injustice that the Taliban are inflicting on Afghan men and women, and even on themselves."

According to the leader of the Resistance Front, the Taliban neither understand the needs of the people nor their situation. He added that thousands of lost opportunities for the Afghan people are a direct result of Taliban rule.

Massoud warned that the people of Afghanistan should not remain indifferent to their fate. He said: "We have reached a stage where we must strive much more seriously, firmly, and strongly to establish a dignified and honorable government."

The Taliban, since their return to power in August 2021, have imposed extensive restrictions on citizens, particularly women and girls.

Despite repeated calls from the United Nations, international organizations, and human rights groups to lift these restrictions and respect citizens' rights, the Taliban have consistently emphasized that citizens' rights are preserved and upheld in accordance with Sharia.

Ahmad Massoud, the leader of the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan, on the fourth anniversary of the Taliban's return to power, criticized the group's decision-making structure, stating that the Taliban's decisions are neither in the interest of national benefits nor for the good and welfare of the country.
