Indirect talks between Israel and Hamas to end the war in Gaza

Informed sources on the mediated negotiations between Israel and Hamas say that the first day of resuming these talks in Egypt concluded with positive results, and the negotiations will continue in the coming days.

The report states that the goal of these discussions is to reach an agreement to implement Donald Trump’s 20-point plan, the President of the United States, to end the Gaza war.

Meanwhile, the state-run Al-Qahira News network reports that the first day’s discussions focused on the exchange of hostages, a ceasefire, and the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.

At the same time, the Hamas delegation has informed the mediators that Israel’s continued bombing of Gaza is creating challenges for the negotiations regarding the release of hostages.

It is worth noting that the Hamas delegation includes senior leaders of the group, such as Khalil Al-Hayya and Zaher Jabarin, negotiators who survived an Israeli assassination attempt in central Doha last month, an attempt that resulted in the deaths of five people.

Al Jazeera network reported that indirect negotiations between Israel and Hamas began on Monday, October 6, in the coastal city of Sharm El-Sheikh by the Red Sea in Egypt.
