Suicide attack in Peshawar; At least three killed, two injured

According to the police, this incident took place in the early morning of Monday, November 25, after which two suicide attackers intended to enter the police building but were targeted and killed.


Based on reports from Pakistani media, following this suicide attack, three police personnel were killed and two others were wounded.


Pakistan's security officials have stated that three militants initially attacked the police headquarters; one bomber detonated himself at the gate, and the other two intended to enter the police headquarters compound but were neutralized by security forces.


Pakistani officials have referred to the attackers as "Fitna al-Khawarij"; a term that Pakistan police uses to refer to the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan.


According to Pakistan's security officials, if the attackers had succeeded in entering the building, it would have resulted in heavy casualties.


Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, in response to this incident, has described the attack as terrorist and condemned it.


He has also described the actions of the police forces as brave and praised them.


So far, no group has claimed responsibility for this attack.


This attack comes at a time when, a few days ago, in a powerful explosion in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, at least 12 people were killed and at least 30 others were wounded.

Pakistan police have announced that an explosion occurred at the gate of the police headquarters in Peshawar.
