Foreign Ministers' Meeting on Gaza; Ishaq Dar leaves for Türkiye

The Pakistani Foreign Ministry wrote on its official page on the social media platform "X" on Tuesday, 6 Aqrab, that the Turkish Foreign Minister has invited Ishaq Dar to travel to Ankara next week to attend a meeting of foreign ministers from eight countries. This meeting is set to be held in connection with coordinating diplomatic efforts to support peace initiatives in Gaza.


According to the statement from the Pakistani Foreign Ministry, Dar discussed the latest developments in Gaza and ways to achieve lasting peace in Palestine during a phone conversation with Hakan Fidan, the Turkish Foreign Minister, on Monday.


It is said that this meeting aims to strengthen the collective stance of Islamic countries regarding the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and to support peace initiatives.


Official sources have not yet commented on further details of the Pakistani Foreign Minister’s trip to Turkey.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan has announced that Ishaq Dar, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the country, will soon travel to Turkey to participate in a meeting of foreign ministers from countries actively involved in the diplomatic process related to the Gaza crisis.
