Taliban announce sale of Nuristan birch stone worth 3 million Afghanis

According to the report, this amount of precious turquoise stones was extracted from the Pashgar Valley in Nurgram District and sold through bidding.

The report states that 302,500 Afghanis from the sale of these precious stones have been transferred to the Taliban's treasury.

The Taliban had previously announced the extraction and sale of precious and semi-precious stones from Nuristan.

It is worth noting that since regaining control of Afghanistan, the Taliban have resorted to the indiscriminate extraction and sale of precious stones, natural resources, and minerals.

Experts say that the Taliban are seeking to generate government revenue through the sale of the country's precious stones.

The Bakhter News Agency, under Taliban control, has reported that the group sold 10 kilograms of Nuristan turquoise stones for three million and twenty-five thousand Afghanis.
