Massive deportation of migrants; Pakistan repatriates over 7,700 Afghan citizens in one day

According to the Taliban, on Saturday as well, around 6,000 refugees were returned from Pakistan.

This increase in forced returns of refugees has raised concerns about the response capacity of domestic and international institutions; as many individuals return without shelter, financial resources, or access to health and educational services.

Human rights organizations have repeatedly called for a halt to these expulsions; as thousands of families are at serious risk.

The Taliban Commission for Refugees has announced that on Sunday, more than 7,700 Afghan citizens were expelled from Pakistan and another 246 from Iran via the Torkham and Spin Boldak border crossings and returned to the country.
