Tashkent meeting: Central Asian representatives discuss the future of Afghanistan

At this meeting, officials from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan were present and reviewed Afghanistan's political, security, and humanitarian issues.


Participants emphasized the need to establish a regular and independent regional mechanism for coordination regarding Afghanistan and described the Central Asia Contact Group as an effective tool for pursuing shared interests.


This meeting is taking place amid ongoing concerns about the spread of security threats emanating from Afghanistan, while the human rights situation in the country remains a focal point of global attention.

According to Uzbekistan media, special representatives of Central Asian countries for Afghanistan affairs gathered in Tashkent on Monday to discuss the latest developments in Afghanistan.
