China welcomes Russia's move to recognize the Taliban

Referring to Moscow's recognition of the Taliban, Ms. Ning said: "China welcomes the new round of development in relations between Russia and Afghanistan."


She emphasized that Chinese authorities have always believed that Afghanistan should not be excluded from the international community.


The spokesperson for China's Foreign Ministry also stated: "Regardless of the changes that have occurred in Afghanistan and beyond, diplomatic relations between China and Afghanistan have never been severed."

Mao Ning, the spokesperson for China's Foreign Ministry, welcomed Russia's recognition of the Taliban during a press conference on Friday.
