Hasher Ehsas, a young singer, committed suicide in Kabul.

According to sources, this young singer took his own life on Thursday (17 Mizan) in the Khairkhana area at his home.


Sources close to Ehsas’s family, confirming the incident, say that he had been suffering from depression in recent years.


Sources add that Hasher Ehsas was originally from the Bakhsh-Kheil village in the Rokha district of Panjshir province.


Hasher Ehsas participated in the artistic program “Afghan Star” on Tolo TV in 1394 (Solar Hijri calendar), advancing to the top six and gaining fame from there.


The death of this young artist has made headlines at a time when, over the past four years, the Taliban have completely banned music. During this period, dozens of artists have been detained and tortured for various reasons. Many artists have been forced to live in hiding and refrain from publicly showcasing their work.

Local sources in Kabul say that Hasher Ehsas, a young singer in this province, has committed suicide and ended his life.
