Russia increases crude oil exports from western ports in August

According to informed sources, this decision was made following Ukraine's drone attacks, which disrupted the operations of several Russian refineries, resulting in a larger volume of oil becoming available for export.

However, Russian oil sellers have not yet received the final loading schedule for September. The Russian Ministry of Energy and the pipeline company "Transneft" have also not commented on the matter so far.

This development occurs as Moscow strives to increase its oil revenues despite Western sanctions and pressure from the United States on major buyers to reduce imports.

Reuters news agency reported that Russia, in its crude oil export program from western ports for the month of August, will export approximately 200,000 barrels per day more than the forecasted amount.
