Bloody clash along Durand Line; Khalid Corps claims killing of 15 Pakistani soldiers

In a statement released by the media office of this corps, it is stated that Taliban fighters, after heavy clashes with Pakistani forces, obtained the bodies of two soldiers of that country along with some of their equipment and weapons.

According to this source, the aforementioned operation was designed and executed based on "precise intelligence information" and aimed to respond to Pakistan's recent airstrikes on Kabul and Paktia.

Meanwhile, the Taliban's Ministry of Defense, in a separate statement, reported the execution of a "successful retaliatory operation" against Pakistan's military positions and border centers, stating that the operation concluded around midnight on October 11.

On the other hand, the Pakistani army announced this morning (October 12) that its border forces, in response to the Taliban attacks, targeted 20 border outposts belonging to the group. Pakistani authorities also claim that a number of Taliban members in the Khurram region have surrendered to the army forces.

As of the publication of this report, neither side has released precise casualty figures or further details of the clashes; however, local sources report ongoing tensions in parts of Nangarhar, Kunar, and Paktia.

The 201st Khalid bin Walid Corps of the Taliban in the eastern zone of Afghanistan has announced that in last night's operation, 15 Pakistani soldiers were killed and 11 border outposts of that country were destroyed.
