UN warns of escalation of violence in the West Bank

According to this report, a rising wave of violence in the West Bank has caused Palestinian civilians to face increased casualties, displacement, and insecurity.


Stephane Dujarric, spokesperson for the United Nations, said: "Our colleagues in the humanitarian affairs department have warned about the West Bank that the level of violence there is highly alarming and has caused casualties, damage to property, displacement, loss of livelihoods, and a severe sense of insecurity for Palestinian civilians."


He also added that the number of Palestinian children killed in the occupied territories in 2025 has reached 50 this week.


Dujarric continued: "Overall, since the beginning of the year so far, more than 200 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces in this region."

The United Nations warned in a report about the increase in violence in the occupied West Bank and stated that the situation in this region has worsened.
