Baghaei: Iran's nuclear facilities have been severely damaged

Mr. Baghaei, in an interview with Al Jazeera on Wednesday, said: “Our nuclear facilities have been severely damaged; this is certain, as they have been repeatedly targeted by attacks from Israeli and American aggressors.”


He added that Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization and related institutions are currently conducting technical assessments of the country’s nuclear facilities.


Previously, some officials and state media of the Islamic Republic had described the damage to Iran’s nuclear facilities as minimal.


The International Atomic Energy Agency has also stated that during the 12-day conflict between Israel and Iran, several of the Islamic Republic’s nuclear sites were severely damaged.

Esmaeil Baghaei, the spokesperson for the Islamic Republic’s Foreign Ministry, announced that Iran’s nuclear facilities have been severely damaged following attacks by the United States and Israel.
