Six Afghans killed in Iranian border guards' shooting

HalVash reported on Monday, 17 Shahrivar, that these Afghan citizens lost their lives in the “Kolgan” area of Golshan city, Sistan and Baluchestan, as a result of shooting by Iranian border guards.


The report states that five others were injured, and at least 40 Afghan citizens were detained and transferred to a border post following the shooting.


This human rights organization announced that on Monday evening, Iranian border forces opened fire with heavy weapons on a group of 120 migrants without prior warning.


HalVash wrote that the bodies of those killed were left at the scene of the shooting.


According to this human rights institution, those who survived the shooting fled to the surrounding areas, and border forces are still pursuing them.


So far, official authorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran have not commented on the matter.

The “HalVash” news agency reported the killing of six Afghan citizens due to gunfire by the border forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
