A young man died in Nangarhar while donating blood for earthquake victim

According to his relatives, the young man was from Nangarhar and suffered a severe drop in blood pressure after donating blood multiple times. So far, hospital officials have not provided an explanation regarding the exact cause of his death.


Meanwhile, the number of earthquake victims in Kunar continues to rise. According to the latest statistics, more than 1,400 people have lost their lives, and over 3,000 others have been injured. Additionally, thousands of homes have been destroyed, leaving many families homeless.


It is reported that local hospitals in Kunar lack the capacity to accommodate the injured, and some of the wounded have been transferred to Jalalabad city. Eyewitnesses report mass burials of victims and say that homeless women and children have spent recent nights in the open.


The earthquake occurred on Sunday evening near Asadabad, the capital of Kunar province, and its tremors were also felt in Kabul and some areas of Pakistan.

Local sources in Nangarhar say a young man who had donated blood to help victims of the recent earthquake in Kunar passed away early this morning (Wednesday, 12 Sunbula) in the regional hospital of this province.
