Iranian President: I am ready to travel to Afghanistan to open a new page in relations

The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran announced on Saturday, 4th Asad, that Pezeshkian, in a meeting with officials of Iran's Foreign Ministry, emphasized that expanding relations with neighbors is a priority of his government's foreign policy.


The statement reads: "I am ready to travel to Afghanistan to open a new chapter in the history of our mutual relations."


It is noteworthy that Iran is among the countries that have established extensive diplomatic relations with the Taliban over the past four years; however, it has not yet officially recognized this group.

Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of Iran, says he is ready to travel to Afghanistan to "open a new chapter in relations."
