Taliban: UN Security Council concerns about terrorist groups in Afghanistan are unfounded

On Thursday, Mr. Mujahid denied the presence of the ISIS group in Afghanistan, stating that this group has been suppressed and eliminated in the country.

The Taliban spokesperson also urged neighboring countries, particularly Pakistan, not to link their problems to Afghanistan and emphasized that Afghan soil does not pose a threat to any country.

This comes as the special representatives of Pakistan and Iran at the United Nations expressed concerns yesterday about the presence of terrorist groups, particularly the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan and ISIS, and their threats to the national security of neighboring countries and regional stability.

Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for the Taliban, called the UN Security Council's concerns about the activities of terrorist groups in Afghanistan baseless and stated that there are currently no terrorist groups present in Afghanistan.
