Unprecedented increase in kidnappings in Kandahar; 9 children missing in three days

The newspaper, quoting sources, has stated that the number of missing children exceeds 9 individuals.

Simultaneously with this situation, targeted killings are also on the rise in this province, and the severe insecurity threatens the lives and property of citizens.

Some families have said that after their children were kidnapped, they received calls from the kidnappers demanding money in exchange for their release.

The Taliban, who have repeatedly claimed to have ensured nationwide security, have in practice been unable to prevent the spread of crimes such as kidnapping, murder, and theft; a matter that increasingly calls into question the credibility of their security claims.

The 8am newspaper, citing its sources, has reported that in the past three days alone, 9 children have been kidnapped or gone missing by unknown individuals; a statistic that has sparked a wave of concern among families.
