Taliban sell eight kilograms of Nuristan gemstones

This news was published by the agency on Sunday (12 Asad). According to the report, the sold stones included kunzite, aquamarine, and camarine, which were extracted from various mines in the Parun district, the center of Nuristan province.

The Taliban had previously reported the sale of aquamarine stones worth at least 161 million Afghanis.

It is said that with the Taliban's renewed control over Afghanistan, the extraction and rampant sale of precious stones and natural resources have intensified.

Experts believe that the Taliban, by auctioning off the country’s natural and mineral resources, are attempting to secure financial resources for their governance.

Bakhter News Agency, affiliated with the Taliban, announced that officials of this group sold eight kilograms of precious and semi-precious stones from Nuristan province for five million Afghanis.
