South Korea reports multiple missile launches by North Korea

The Joint Chiefs of Staff of the military stated that they had detected movements related to missile preparations prior to the launch and had monitored the flight paths of the missiles after the launch as well. According to this institution, the missiles flew approximately 350 kilometers in the air.

This incident occurred just one week before the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit scheduled to be held in South Korea.

South Korean President Lee Jae-myung is scheduled to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump during this summit next week. It is also expected that Trump will hold talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
