Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan confirms killing of its top deputy

The Pakistani army stated in a statement on Thursday (October 8) that it had targeted one of the prominent figures of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan in a special operation near the Afghan border.


According to the army, this operation was conducted in the Bajaur region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, during which four members of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan were killed.


The Pakistani army added that the main target of this operation was Qari Amjad, who was known by the alias "Mazahim."


Qari Amjad was recognized as the second-in-command and head of the leadership council of this group after "Noor Wali Mehsud," the current leader of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan.

Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan announced in a statement that "Qari Amjad," known as "Mufti Mazahim," the deputy of this group, was killed as a result of an operation by Pakistani security forces.
