UN fails to issue permit; Muttaqi's trip to Pakistan delayed

According to reports, Mr. Muttaqi was scheduled to lead a delegation for a three-day trip to Pakistan on Monday (13 Asad); however, the trip did not take place due to the failure to obtain an exemption from the Sanctions Committee.

Previously, reliable sources confirmed on Sunday that Muttaqi’s trip was postponed due to "technical issues."

However, so far, neither the Taliban nor the Pakistani government have commented on the matter.

Amir Khan Muttaqi's trip, the acting foreign minister of the Taliban, to Pakistan has been postponed due to not receiving travel permission from the United Nations Sanctions Committee.
