Hamas and Israel give green light to implementation of first phase of Trump peace plan

Simultaneously, the Israeli Prime Minister's Office also announced in a statement that the government is preparing for the "immediate implementation" of the first phase of U.S. President Donald Trump's peace plan.

The statement reads: "In light of Hamas's response, Israel is prepared to immediately implement the first phase of Trump's plan for the immediate release of all hostages. We will continue to fully cooperate with the President and his team to end the war based on principles set by Israel and aligned with President Trump's vision."

However, Israel's statement made no reference to Trump's demand for an "immediate cessation of the bombing of Gaza," nor did it provide any indication of a timeline for the release of hostages.

Meanwhile, the Hamas movement has announced that it is ready to immediately enter negotiations through mediators to discuss the details of the exchange and is also prepared to hand over the administration of Gaza to "a Palestinian authority composed of independent individuals (technocrats), based on Palestinian national consensus and with the support of Arab and Islamic backing."

Hamas announced in a statement on Saturday morning, October 4, that it agrees to "immediately" enter negotiations for the release of all hostages based on Trump's peace plan; however, the movement has refrained from unconditionally accepting this proposal.
