Nasir Ahmad Andisheh: Russia's recognition of the Taliban is a "lose-lose" outcome for both sides

On Friday (13 Saratan), Mr. Andisha wrote in a post on the social media platform X that effective use should be made of the opportunities that arise, although he did not provide further details about these opportunities.


He wrote: “This recognition will be a lose-lose situation for both sides. Opportunities will arise that must be effectively utilized.”


This comes as Russia’s Foreign Ministry announced on Thursday that Moscow has officially recognized the Taliban regime as the “Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.”

Nasir Ahmad Andisha, Afghanistan’s ambassador to Geneva, in response to Russia’s recognition of the Taliban regime, stated that this action will result in a “lose-lose” outcome for both parties.
