Rubio: 'Tremendous progress' made in talks to end Ukraine war

According to international media reports, these talks between delegations from the United States, Ukraine, and European allies are focused on a proposed 28-point plan put forward by the United States and are set to continue on Monday.

Rubio also stated that he had spoken with Donald Trump and that he is "completely satisfied" with the amount of progress achieved.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, Trump accused Ukraine of showing "no appreciation" for U.S. efforts to end the war.

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the President of Ukraine, had said that his country is grateful to the United States and Trump and emphasized that "peace must be with dignity."

Simultaneously with the Geneva negotiations, Zelenskyy welcomed "fresh diplomacy" in a new message posted on social media and said there are signs that the Trump team "hears the voice of Ukraine."

Meanwhile, some European leaders have criticized this 28-point plan; a plan that analysts say is "broadly favorable to Russia."

Marco Rubio, the U.S. Secretary of State, stated regarding the talks aimed at ending the Russia-Ukraine war, which began on Sunday, November 23, in Geneva, the capital of Switzerland, that "extraordinary progress" has been made in these negotiations.
